Privacy Policy for Checkintexts

Overview

Checkintexts helps you schedule personal check-ins with friends and family. You write the messages, and the app reminds you when it is time to send them.

Information we access

• Contacts: to let you choose who to message. We only store the contact name and phone number for the check-ins you create.
• Message content you write: stored to schedule reminders.
• Device time zone: to schedule reminders at the correct local time.

How we use information

• Contacts are used only to populate the contact picker and message composer.
• Message content is used only to prefill your phone's message composer.
• Reminders are scheduled on your device using local notifications.

Storage and syncing

• By default, check-ins are stored locally on your device.
• If you sign in and enable sync, check-in data is stored in Supabase to allow cross-device access.
• We do not sell your data.

Message sending

Checkintexts does not send messages automatically. At the reminder time, the app opens your phone's message composer and you choose whether to send.

Data retention

You can delete any check-in in the app. Deleting a check-in removes it from your device and, if sync is enabled, from Supabase.

Children's privacy

Checkintexts is not intended for children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date when changes are made.
